Another one found we will call it the Henry's Dart

Oh boy....THAT was mighty respectable of you.
I agree though, I'd feel bad taking advantage of a guy that really didn't know the value....especially if he was a nice person.
Kudos to you, man!
Thank you, the car is rust free, #'s matching engine and trans, all paper work was included. Perfect broadcast sheet found under the rear seat. Needs work to get back on the road. But where can you find one like that in 2025. I felt 10k was fair to both of us. The car didn't run or drive, and I knew there was work and money involved to get it there.

It looks just like my 69 Dart....

Well, the grille and taillights anyway.

Blast it, I told you years ago to stop with the vegetation pics. Just the cars, lol. You’re just reminding me of what the wife&I saw 21yrs ago.

Time for a little update. I know most of you would have had this car running and driving already. Time flies, and haven't done any work on the Henry's Dart, until this weekend. Coil was bad, replaced it with one I got from @HALIFAXHOPS. Ran some sand paper between the points. Poured some gas down the carb, and it fired up.
The Henry's dart is alive.
I also bought a nice set of valve covers from @QuickBpBp. Next up to do is order a rebuild kit for the carb, and some temporary tires since the driver side rear gave up.

Got the new tires mounted.

The original owner had the car ziebart coated. This was popular in Hawaii back in the day. Tell tale signs of the little plugs located in various places.

The trunk was coated in a black waxy type coating. I think this was done by zeibart also. Although I have not seen it before. A rag with lacquer thinner slowly removes the coating. Any one seen this type of coating before? If so what the best way to remove it without damaging the original paint underneath?

My 68 barracuda was ziebart undercoated from new. It had the same plugs. I used mineral spirits a plastic kitchen spatula and a rag. I ended up having to do the entire engine compartment. The paint underneath was like new. I wouldn't use lacquer thinner as it would be hard on the paint.

Thanks I will get some mineral spirits and give that a try.

The tank sending unit came in today. It was ordered at the same time as the tank but was on back order. I ordered from Summit. Since I choose the AMD tank I choose the AMD sending unit. The sending unit does not have the same pick up tube shape.

The good thing is I put my multi meter on it, and the OHMs move nice and steady all the way through the movement of the float. Not jumpy like others I have tried. I tay and install it in the tank to see how the pick up tube and float sits in the tank.
