I contacted the guy to see if he would be parting this car out when it doesn't sell, and he informed he's turned down offers higher than the asking price in the past. Also, he's selling because his wife wants more room in the garage. That's about as believable as the story about the previous owner being a restorer who just lost interest when his friend/builder passed away. LOL

When was the last time you heard of a wife wanting more space in the garage??? Get that piece of junk out of the driveway? Yes. You're making the yard look like Hell... get that car out of there! Certainly. But I want more space in the garage?

I think a more likely description would be "I bought this car because I didn't know what I was doing and thought I could restore it. I bought it from a guy who was a little smarter than I was because he was dumb enough to buy it too, but smart enough to get me to buy it. Now I'm looking for someone a little dumber than me to pay me $1,500 so I can feel better about myself."

that is a pretty solid car tho....no rust thru that i can see. that would be a great car for you to make a " Cleveland Browns " car....considering the rivalry and such between the 2 teams..( steelers and browns) ! you did a great job on the Steelers car!

Man, I'm a lucky guy. My wife thought I was crazy when I bought my Charger. Did she tell me to get rid of it? No. After riding in it, she gave me big smile and said "I get why you bought this. It's amazing." It also helped that I stopped riding motorcycles and went Mopar instead.

That's a solid car? Looking at how rusted out the bottom of the quarters are I would bet I could push a q-tip through the wheel wells. There's a reason why two idiots bought this car and tried to dump it without doing anything to it.

BTW, the next car is going to be a Florida Gators-mobile.

Solid car? No. Rusted piece of crap from back East? No. Looks like it may be from my neck of the woods, or should I say desert. Looking at the pics I'd bet it has nice floors, frames and such, maybe not. Paint has been sun burned off and has mild surface AT BEST. That kills the deal for me. Lower quarter rust is common out here. Place is covered with dirt instead of grass.

There is a 65 Barracuda in my area with a 273 that I have been wanting to look at. I may call about that one and a 67 GTX but the GTX is out of my price range for a car needing a full restoration but the guy is a FORD guy so maybe I can find something he wants and do a trade.

This RR is in need of a lot of work and makes me feel better about the one in my area for 1500 and I may get it for less.

I don't have the room, or lots of $$$ for body work that I would have to farm out. The seller says a winter project....looks more like a winter, spring, summer and fall to say the least...lol.

The best thing for anyone to do when there rusted to this point is save the money and get it media blasted, or thats what it really would be. MHO.
