70 RR. How do I get the stock extendable antenna out of the fender well to install a power antenna ??

Pull the fender splash shield for full access.
Will a power antenna unit fit to get back in there ?? Or will I need to pull the splash shield ??
That, I don't know. I just put in a regular one. Someone else might know.
