Any creepy facts in your area?

Traveling into Kansas as a geologist on oil wells, I've passed through Holcomb, KS many times. The Clutter house still looks the same. (In Cold Blood.)

I've seen the Jon Benet Ramsey house in Boulder, CO. It's hard to see because they've let the landscaping cover the front.

When I lived in SE Kansas, there was a home near Cherryville. It was the home of the Bloody Benders. (Look it up.) In the 1800's, they murdered several people and buried them in the backyard. They used to have a museum I went to as a kid. They had a wreath made from the hair of the victims, with a legend explaining what color of hair went to each person.

I visited my mother-in-laws house about 5-years ago.

That was creepier than I really cared for.

The crime scene location was down the street from my old farm house in upstate New York. I never liked going past her (abandoned) old house when I was walking the shepherd dogs. My vet and her husband ended up buying the house/property around 2008.

Different kind of creepy, when I moved to this house I found out shortly after that the old man across the street was a registered sex offender. Then he drops dead and family moves in and one of them was also registered. Finally they sold it or something and left.

We had a few here the Birnies raped
& murdered buried them face down the last was buried face up because he liked her ,he died in prison she is still inside.
The the Claremont serial Killer murdered 3 girls on the way home on different nights from the localnight club still inside took them ages to catch him he was the captain of local childrens sports & worked for Telstra an Australian Communications company they traced him by the van he was driving
Then there was Ronald Ryan serial killer hanged for his crimes we were in Perth on holidays i was asleep on the back verandah (in Claaremont where he was last seen)woke up & started screaming the family locked all the doors they thought he had me but i was having a nightmare about a Kangaroo attacking me .Few more in Kalgoorlie a gold mining town also a couple of Haunted houses around

It’s probably more of a local thing but in bowling green Kentucky, back in the fifties , there was the cemetery road murders. The mansion at which it happened is still there but I haven’t seen it myself. There was a book written about it.

So one Saturday morning I was out cutting the grass. Lady directly across the street (hoarder) house had been repossessed. Realtor showed up with a locksmith. They were in the house for a little while then out front talking and left. 10 minutes later many police cars showed up. Yellow crime scene tape was installed.

This ladies ex husband was a Phoenix Police officer and her son an officer in another city.

Neighbor next door did say they smelled something bad a long time ago.
