Any DeSoto fans in here?

I have a 56 Wagon

Desoto production ended after 62. Most of the big fin cars were 57-59.

Those were cool rides. I'd 2nd the year posted, if not be only a year off. My uncle had a '57 I'd play in as a little kid wishing my folks had one...found those old finned mopars a standout even as a little ****. I'd point them out to my folks riding in the backseat as a knee-high.

I have 4 -- 1957 Desoto s and a 1955..

Fell in love with the tower of power rear fins, early on....

I have a first year Desoto hemi on my work bench. I have owned it since i was 18 years old. I had hoped to build it for something but it never happened. so its up for grabs.....

I'm a fan. A neighbor had one and took us to elementary school in it.

I recently bought this 1960 Adventurer which was the last year of DeSoto production in Canada. I believe they made them for one more year in the US before they pulled the plug.

Beautiful car! again, I want to know how people find these cars.

It was on Kijiji in Canada which is the equivalent of Craigslist in the US. The cars are out there and show up from time to time, you just have to look regularly and be ready to act fast when something nice comes up. The good cars that are fairly priced don't stay advertised for long.

U.S. version in 61 was almost identical car. Very parred down model lineup. Ribs on the trunk lid and a different front end. Wish I had a real one

Beautiful DeSoto. What’s under the hood on that? 361? 413?

383 2bbl which a previous owner had some custom chroming done to back in the 70’s. It runs excellent so I’m thinking that it might have been rebuilt somewhere along the way.
