Got an ex racer that i am wondering if anyone remembers..

Post up some photos, year make model any known details etc.
We have a few guys on here, that have been around drag racing for a while...
Maybe someone may recognize the car or the name of the old org. driver...

We'll need a little more info & we do love our car **** around here...LOL

68 coronet R/T that has been painted many times and a different color everytime. Last name on the door says" The morning after". It was done in gold leaf but one of the previous owners peeled that off so hard to show it. Came from the Denver area is all i know about it. Was an auto switched to a 4spd.

I have no idea how long its been parked. It only has 55k on the odometer but i would have no clue the last time it ran or how long it was raced or if much at all. Maybe someday I'll sand down thru the 4 or 5 layers of color and see what else is on the door.

Make a call to Bandimere Drag Strip in Morrison (west of Denver). If it was raced in Colorado someone there will know.

It also has"interior by Leslie" and "paint by Larry Heckard". Ring a bell?? It has been painted burgundy, orange and the last coat is blue. Originally red. On the rear quarter it also say " Thanks to L. Heckard-D. Emmerson-D. McDougal and Corky" Also says Jody's above "The Morning After".

It may not have been raced in Denver either but that is where the car came out of. Maybe some of these named will spark a memory. I likely will bring it back to stock someday if i keep it but finding some histry or pics would be cool. If the original owner is still kicking they maybe would be glad to hear the car has survived.
