I found a few threads but they’re older so I was looking for something a bit more recent.
I’m thinking of going 18/18 or 18/19 maybe even 19/20. Thanks and ideally a 1970 gtx, roadrunner, satellite or Belvedere

here’s the car

Nice cars. After looking at 17 inch, and up rims on everything, I think 15 inch wheels look too small. My next wheel set will be 17, or 18. Keep posting.

While many "seasoned" enthusiasts prefer to stick with the 14 or 15" wheel based on appearance or the belief that shorter sidewalls give a poor ride, I see many guys with 17s and 18s like mine that I think look pretty good.
I am not a fan of razor thin tires on a classic car. There are thousands of wheel styles out there that look horrible in any diameter. The 17" aftermarket versions of the Mopar Rallye wheel is a great design. Many of the Torque Thrust wheels look nice though they are a bit common. I chose a wheel that looked like a modern version of a Cragar.

The wheel is a 18x10. The tire height is 27 1/2" so that leaves a sidewall of about 4 3/4".
When I see a 15" wheel with a 28" tire, the sidewall looks too tall for my tastes. There is a sweet spot in there in between.
The tires on my truck are a 305-40-22. They don't seem like their sidewalls are too short.

The fronts are 18 x 9 with a 275-40-18 Nitto.
Rear is an 18x10 with a 295-45-18 Nitto.

Because it’s completely stupid, looks terrible, rides like crap. You should only have 14” magnums and 5” wide bias tires on it PERIOD

Holy crap! JUST KIDDING. Can you imagine. Lol lol. Your charger looks AWESOME! Love the rake, width, style, all of. Those wheels are nice, never seen them before. They sort of have a ‘salt flats’ feel but not. I’m an advocate for ‘do what you want’

Kern Dog's wheel and tire combination is one of the few larger than 15" combinations I like. My buddy Bill has some nice charcoal grey 18" 10 spoke pro touring wheels on his 70-1/2 split bumper Camaro that doesn't look too bad either.

Can't image it'd ride very well with those rubber band tires, but here you go:

For crying out loud, read the title of the thread... realize you obviously don't like what the OP is looking for and move along! Ride quality? I personally like a firm planted ride not a squishy ride that inspires fear while pushing it through a turn and yes it drives wonderfully.

18x10 in rear 17x8 front on the RR. The Charger will have 20x12 in rear and 19x9 in front. Photo of what the stance will look like from Speedcores photo,

Does anyone know if I can go 19x10 or 20x10 in the rear without mini tubs ?
