buddy of mine has a real nice mid 90s ram 2500 with a V 10........ awesome truck but it sounds like a loud V6

Our Dodge Viper has the Borla exhaust system and it sounds bad *** as you go through the gears. I can shift out of 2nd at 95... love to sound when downshifting...

I have a V10 in an F350. It makes the "SLURP" sound as it sucks gas at a rate of 8 mpg. I swear the gas evaporates when it sits for weeks at a time.

the 70 RR restomod thread inspired my thoughts on this..... V10 is a deal breaker for me..... IMO, these cars need the sound of a V8

Yes, I completely agree. When the Viper was first released and so many guys were in awe of it, I just couldn't get into it. The car sounded terrible, almost like a WW2 radial engine plane or something.
Guys that do V10 swaps into classic cars...Terrible! They do look cool with a modern engine but once it is running, it sounds bad.

The Vipers, the ones with the side-pipes do sound like a
UPS truck idling
BUT; you only hear one bank of the engine,
on one side of the car
BUT; when it's coming at you or going away
it sounds much better then, from just one side...
