Anyone Install Aftermarket Alarm?

Learned last night after taking wife and baby out in the 68 for the first time that you have to lock the doors with the key after they are closed.

Someone walked by and told me "nice 68". Turns out he had one. And he put an alarm on his. We didn't get a chance to really talk. So now I'm thinking I should do this. Afterall, it is the older cars that are easy to hot wire!

If you have an alarm, what did you you use and do you have any advice I need to give an installer?

Since you didn't say how long ago the alarm was installed, here's mine that I put in many moons ago. Its a little hard to see, but there is a small dot on lower front fender that's a key switch that I rigged up to a relay. It was armed by a small round key that secured the hood and both doors.

I converted to power door locks. I bought an Avital 2101L but have not installed it, yet. It was cheap and had good reviews. You cab get a local shop to install it if you want.
