Symphony Orchestral performances, live and in person, are the stuff of memories, balm for the soul and a reaffirmation that you are alive. The New Years Concert Live from the Opera House in Vienna, Austria is always a favorite. The National Orchestras are always good. Particularly Holland, Sweden, and London, England. Two of my favorites, and I listen often, are The Peter Gunn theme and Bolero. This performance of Bolero in London is exceptional in my opinion. It's frustrating that You Tube felt the need to interrupt it twice but there it is. Never the less, the individual performances of many of the members are spectacular. This is one where you will want to have headphones, a quiet room, no interruptions by others and turn it up as loud as you can stand it to be. lay back in an easy chair and close your eyes. Just feel the notes and the flow of the piece. Go with it, let it take your spirit away. When it's done you should be worn out but euphoric. THAT"S Symphonic sound. That's the exhilaration in the power of great music. Then listen again, and watch the players...enjoy!! Ghost.
