Anyone remember this hemi roadrunner drag car from Long Island New York area?

The picture of it where it's parked in the driveway with the steel wheel on the back is 50th street near 28th ave in Astoria Queens, a couple blocks from what was the "connecting highway" back then, which was a popular spot to street race at the time.

Yeah, Car probably went down the ramp to be part of the action on "The Connecting" I know that arched overpass down the block all too well. I used to park my car on the other side of it in the 80's and 90's.

The owner son told me his dad removed the hemi emblems and used to mess around often with a local 440 six pack car.
The guy could never figure out why he always lost.

That looks like National Speedway at the pits of course right by the entrance road running along the tree line.
I never went to the track when it was active, but I visited the sight later in the eighties and remember it like yesterday.
That was the track we NY'ers went to out in Center Moriches back then. I still have pics there from back then.
That was decently fast for back then with a big hulk of a B-body.
With a gutted car as this one is, not surprised. I had a couple friends back then ran hemis this quick
10.0hs is still decently fast these days. That was Pro-stock........ or should I say, Brooklyn street racing territory back then.
Long dock, Fountain Ave, Conduit... I was there. you shoulda seen what was running then. Yes...cars from modified production to pro stock quality machines

Aah, yes, one of my favorite locations for my "activities" back then. It "connected" Grand Central Pkwy off the Triboro bridge to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

To the OP... there was so much stuff running back then it would be difficult to pinpoint a particular car, unless it was a memorable run against it. I've had a few memorables myself.
