Anyone seen this before?

My 1967 Charger has the small dog dish hub caps, they appear to be original. However when I look in old brochures they don't appear. They do appear for 1968 models. Strangely I have seen other photos on the web with these caps (pic below). Maybe they were available

in 1967 too?

My good buddy had a 67 that exact color back in the day. Unfortunately I don’t remember the wheels he had on it. Seems like it was not those little dogs

Possible late year change?? If so, you could probably find similar Plymouth examples.

IMO, the Charger, being an upscale and somewhat expensive model would have been unlikely to be sold with "poverty" caps.

I agree with the late changeover.The 68 cars had the 9'' caps so some time in 67 the change could have been made.You never know with Ma Mopar.

IMO, the Charger, being an upscale and somewhat expensive model would have been unlikely to be sold with "poverty" caps.

The car they are on is a low-option car, 318-2bbl, manual steering and manual drum brakes, auto on the column, no console. About the only option is a sure-grip axle.

I cant find a single alteration or aftermarket piece (ex an amp/equalizer) - I like this this way, nobody messed with it and hidden anything.

Thanks Moparedtn - this is what I thought they should be too, maybe the car was a late production and the 68's went on? Or maybe this was an export car? Not sure why but mine is not the only one.

Although this doesn’t apply to 67...The following pictures are from the 1968 parts catalog. It’s all of the pages from group 22 wheels. Could someone with a 67 catalog open to group 22 and post pics? @RedBeard

Unless it was an ordered car wheel and tire changes at the dealership were common back then. The ol I want this car but those wheels and the dealer swapped them.

That is a bizarre car!

Just the way I like them.

318 is common but no PS on a Charger is kinda rare.

...and SG with a 318 is kinda rare unless on a trailer package car.

"Wheel cover delete" kind of fits with those other options, especially if it is an ordered car.

I agree 69hemibeep. We did it all the time. I remember taking a new Aspen and swapping the Road wheels and tires off a used 70 RoadRunner out in the lot.What ever the customer wanted....Within reason.
