I see these cheap, even ceramic coated.

How was routing the head pipe from where the shorties dump?

I can only assume it's similar to the head pipe connection to factory manifolds, but in a different place.

I wonder what the performance increase is, if any.
 
They are a block hugging header. I had a muffle shop make new head pipes. I did have to ding one of the tubes to clear the P/S box. Lots of starter room is a plus.
 
That's what I was thinking. I hate wrestling with starter vs header issues.

Other than looks, though I wonder if there's a performance gain over manifolds.
 
Torque instead of HP with the shorties. Generally won't make a MASSIVE difference but it depends on what your going for.
