April Mopar Monthly Giveaway 2025

I just searched FFBO's site for the band's name.
It confirmed we have several FBBO members who are fans of this band.
And these FBBO members are active members whom I recognize their names.
Some of which have been on FBBO already today.

I wonder, should we call out these members to come try to guess at this too?

One of these by REO Speedwagon

It's your game and you make the rules.

We got a winner!

Almost 350 guesses on April 2025's giveaway thread and @SlingLow nailed it in post #345!
Congratulations!

The correct answer was "The Wizard" by Uriah Heep

Well I prefer this one:

Vol. 4 was released in 1972 probably my favorite Black Sabbath album

How cool is that??? A 'Cuda! I've got a little something to send your way for you and a future contest @PlymCrazy . Thanks again for the entertainment. I never thought this contest would still be active this morning. I'm gearing up for a weekend of quadding in central Washington today and am looking forward to getting out in some sunshine. Cheers to all!

When mom sent me that song recently, it was such a throw back to yesterday. It's a song that I never hear on the radio today.
Nor is it ever mentioned in my frequent conversation about music.
I nearly immediately thought, "This would be a great trivia question for the guys on FBBO".

Man that was fun.
And I hope you guys all enjoyed it.
Thank you all for playing and I look forward to the next one.

Coincidentally, I had a conversation about music last week with my niece who's about 15 years younger than me. She was talking about rock music and named some bands that I had never heard of. I told her that real rock was from bands like Thin Lizzy, Foghat, Mott the Hoople, Uriah Heep, Ten Years After, Pat Travers, Montrose, Doucette, etc. She hadn't heard of even one of them. Kids these days!

Oh, and there was so many songs listed that I've forgotten about also. So this game had more going for it than one could imagine.

Listening to radio these days is terrible. They play the same dozen songs everyday, almost on the hour. All I think about is there's thousands of great songs from the '70s and all they play is the same few over and over.

We are blessed to have many local FM stations playing classic rock in Oklahoma.

In the company car I have three local rock stations programed. I'm constantly switching from one to the other. A couple of times there would be the same song playing on two channels.
