Are all 68-69 RR hoods the same?

Is the basic hood the same on the 68 and 69 Roadrunners?
I assume the only diff is intake style--side vs. top and open vs. closed.

Does the air grabber hood have any additional support?

My current N96 hood has a dent on the center from air cleaner studs that were too long:angryfire:.

There are some used hoods available locally, might go that route if the fit and price is right.

The hood structure is the same. What is different is the latch location. On some hoods you can see where to place the latch in the old location but it will need to be drilled and tapped. This isn't the best pic but you can see how small the difference in location is.

Strange that the hood latch would be in a diff. location. I assume they all used the same rad core support, with the same "catch" opening location?

No the hole in the support was moved part way through 68 thats why the latch was moved over. They moved the hole just enough so that it wouldn't work.

I saw a few new repops listed online that said they have two latch locations...must be "universal" fit.

I'll have to look closely at mine and take measurements before I look at the used hoods.
