Sounds like a happy family. Dog's are the best company. Thanks for the heads up on Trackor supply. I'd forgotten about that. The Tractor Supply near me has a low cost/free vet clinic every other Saturday, for discount shots and things.
My deaf boy is becoming more socialized, as I'm allowed to bring him into our local walmarts. He's very popular there. Only problem is occasional puddles of doggie drool. I wipe it up with my shoes.
I agree with most of that, I have a problem with any dog being selected as more of a fashion accessory or image thing. And I do think Pits are a problem breed, but only in that they can be as sweet or mean as any other dog in my experience, but they are so damn strong that if they act out its trouble. Its like Lennie from Mice and Men.There are some people who should never own pets or be allowed to have children. Irresponsible, ignorant, selfish people that ruin the lives and create grief and misery for the rest of us. Just like the worthless drunks who get behind the wheel and murder innocent pedestrians and drivers with their cars,I think there needs to be stiffer punishments for those who allow dangerous animals to run free and attack and kill others. I dont blame the dog,I blame the idiot who allowed it to happen, either by lack of training or their Irresponsibility.
I saw a video on YouTube where a man deliberately lifted his pit bull over a fence so ot could attack and kill the cats inside the yard. That same guy later had the dog taken away and euthanized when it killed a woman's dachshund.
I frankly dont understand the fascination a certain segment of society has with pit bull dogs. I think its an intimidation/ thug image thing. The same guys who brag about doing 10 years in prison, always trying to look "tough",but really look illiterate, ignorant and trashy. And quite frankly some of these dogs are being deliberately bred and given steriods to look as ugly as sin with wide jaws like alligators.
Society just keeps swirling the drain.

Oh yeah I threw that out as more of a general thing. And in my example its a way easier situation because it was just one angry dog and it was oblivious to us, it only saw its victim. For your situation I think you made the best of it.Thanks, these are all good fighting tricks. However again in my case, trying to subdue one dog in front of you by any means that has the intent of biting your neck, while another is behind you tearing up your calves trying(?) to bring you down, is a tough nut to crack. Everybody has a suggestion on how to fight one dog, two is a horse of another color altogether.
I have tried to have convey here how dangerous that becomes very quickly. Take no prisoners.

I had a neighbor that always had Pits and one would escape often, luckily it was a sweet girl and I am good with dogs. I got her to come to me twice by just crouching and going "oh! who's a good girl?!?! come here ! yes!" and one of those times I then sat in my driveway on the ground with her on my frigging lap happy as she could be while we waited for the owner who I called.

Saw a statistic once regarding dog attacks, fatal and otherwise.
The one that stuck out?....
Of all fatal dog attacks of children to 20 years old, 92% were pit bull or pitbull mixes. ALL other breeds combined amounted to the other 8%, and not one single breed was above 1%. Don't even try to tell me "it's how they were raised by their owners".
NO pitbulls, thanks. I carry a 380 in case.
"Are People really this stupid?"Why risk it?
"Are People really this stupid?"
Proof is in the pudding IMO.
