I woke up once to a terrible periodic banging sound.

Turned out to be a mosquito in my ear.

Sounded and kind of felt like someone banging a drum inside my head.

Could NOT get at it to save my life.

All I could do was roll over so that ear was facing up, and eventually it flew out.
