Around what time period did the indigenous people disappearI was lucky to receive a grand tour of Egypt in the late 1990s. It was awesome to say the least. One thing I learned from an Egyptian was that the people living there now were not the descendants of the original Egyptians, but people who moved into the vacant land when the original inhabitants vacated. He said that no one knows what happened to them either. Very interesting!

He didn’t know the answer to that question. I had a thought that the name and/or people called “gypsies” had something to do with that (I.e. shortening the name “Egyptians”), but a brief google search says no. That was the name given to them by the Europeans because they thought the people came from Egypt (they didn’t).Around what time period did the indigenous people disappear
Your welcome, seems to me and we know through biblical teaching, articles, newspapers, cave painting, earthen mounds, and on and on. There was a race of people of great size and strength that once walked this planet. Abraham Lincoln when addressing Niagara falls even acknowledges that.I was lucky to receive a grand tour of Egypt in the late 1990s. It was awesome to say the least. Maybe they went the same way as the Inca and Aztecs? Survivors scatted into neighboring areas and absorbed into other cultures.
No, they left long before then. I think it may have been sometime around 5000 BC. It was long, long ago. They were probably wiped out when Islamic armies conquered the middle east and north Africa in the middle ages
