hello
any suggestions on a 1969 RR bolt on fiberglass hood with hemi 2 four cross ram clearance. I hear that a six pack hood will not give me clearance.
thanks all

For what it's worth...
Most aftermarket 6pack hoods have a taller scoop (towards the rear of the scoop) than the factory hood had.
You could try Sled City fiberglass. Larry might be able to do something custom for you. He might have to start with a 68 hood.

Do you have a stock hood now ? Suggestion : Measure and scribe the area for the clearance required. Measure height above stock hood for clearance required. Research scoops that would suit your requirements, for both area & height. Cut hood within the new scoops configuration. Glass the scoop onto the hood. And then... and then... paint it black !!

i do have the original hood it has the left and right vents i don't think cosmetically a scoop added to this stock hood would look good

This is what a stock hood looks like with a scoop ... meh !!

Next is the bottom of my "6-pack" hood - might give you an idea. FWIW, it clears a single plane Indy intake on a RB with air cleaner. Would likely clear two carbs on a crossram. I have about 3/4" clearance on the top of the air cleaner using a drop base.

Most of the aftermarket 6pak hoods don't have as much underhood reinforcement as a real one.(more clearance)
Gkent's vfn looks like just what you need.
Edit: notice there is a relief for his Aircleaner in the rear brace.
