Hey guys, this is a really stupid question, because it seems like itself explanatory, but on a regular b body with the metal upper door panels. You got the little chrome or stainless lock ferrules on top. Now, I've had mostly chargers, and those just kind of push in, but with these other ones, they make it look like they spring fit in, but they really don't. I think it's clear that you have to bend the tabs over hard. What's the trick that you guys have used to do this? Because it seems awful hard to get them tight and not make noise. I've seen these original not move at all. Has anybody figured out a good trick on this?

Do you have reproductions or originals?

Originals are chrome plated metal that will rust.

Drop it in the hole and use a dental pick to bend the tabs over, install the pull knob. If you can hear that rattling... you need more HP.. LOL

That said, the reproductions suck!

Those things look like this. When they pop in the holes those tabs should have enough sprinr to spread back out and grab the sheet metal.
