A guy I know rolled his 73 RoadRunner. I was just wondering if the 71-74 roadrunners and chargers shared the same roof lines? I know where there is a donor car if they are the same.

The Charger is not the same around the 1/4 windows. But the glass will interchange, well except for the 1/4 windows.

So if I get this right, what you are saying is, the roof skin is the same but the rounded area between the quarter window and the back window is different. If this is correct then as long as the damage is in the front then the roof could be cut at the seam at the top of the quarter window. I have now found out that the roof skin is the same part number.

On a related note...where is the factory seam in front? I've always wondered this.

Thanks.

I'm doing a roof change, and I know where its at. About 2 inches down from the plane of the windshield curve. The roof is appears to be brazed or migged at that point, and the transition to the pillar is filled with lead.

If you look closely at a non SE 73-74 Charger, it appears to have the same rear window curve as a Plymouth until the factory seam. My guess would be that they are the same. But that's just a guess.

That's good info. You didn't happen to find out what roof fits what did you?

Jack

Sorry:(, Dont know about interchange. I was able to score another RR sunroof and de-skin it from the donor car. If you need any pics or info on the roof swap, just let me know. My project is stalled for money right now. My RR also had a rollover. Kinda like a soft "flop" into a ditch by the P.O. But the rear "arch" above the rear window is shifted about 1/2" to the right. I'm saving to get it on a frame rack and have the whole car checked for "square", just to be sure, and the arch fixed. Good luck , Scott
