I bought my first car - and first Mopar - in 1973 at the age of 16. I paid $200 for a super clean 1962 Polara 500 two door, 360 with a push button tranny. A few years later the Polara was gone and I was off to a succession of other hot rods, motorcycles and family cars. I never owned another Mopar but I always loved their power and size, with a particular fondness for the 67-70 Dodge Chargers.

As luck and fate would have it my lustful ways finally came to fruition recently when I became the proud owner of a one (adult!) owner 1970 Dodge Charger 500. This car was ordered with the 383 Magnum and 727 TorqueFlite. Currently showing 81,000 documented and regularly serviced miles.

Nice clean 70 Charger 500

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Your car looks clean! Care to show off the interior? :)

Started peeling the strip off this week, along with some other "housekeeping" issues. The original owner ordered the car with stainless mudflaps which, in spite of the cool idea behind them and the fact that they served their purpose for 44 years, came off this week. So did the front license plate and steel bracket. More work to be done!

IMG_2909.jpgIMG_2898.jpgSide molding protective pieces coming off as we speak. Factory mudflaps have been removed and boxed, of course!

Will do as soon as I take some quality pictures. Black buckets with "buddy seat" in the middle, Tic Toc tach and full gauges, factory AM/8 track player, one tear in driver's seat, one in center arm rest.
