Any '65 and newer Dana 60 or 8 3/4" rearend with a 5 x 4 1/2" bolt pattern can use the same 10 x 2 1/2" backing plates. But, will the 10 x 2 1/2" backing plates from a 8 1/4 with a 5 x 4 1/2 bolt pattern fit the Dana and 8 3/4 also?

Maybe? If I were you I'd just upgrade to 11 inch drums.

Have front disc now and just completely rebuilt the rear brakes last summer. I am looking to buy a Strange 60 soon and reusing my rear brakes would save me a pretty good chunk of cash.

Related: My 78 Dodge D100 had the 8-1/4 rear with 11" brakes. When the rear end died, I replaced it with an 8-3/4 from an earlier model pickup. I swapped the 11" backing plates over to the 8-3/4. The flange pattern bolted up fine. Hope this helps.

Thackdaddy, Answer to your question, yes

Let me get this correct. You can interchange the backing plates 11" and 10" between the Dana 60, 8 3/4", 9 1/4", and 8 1/4".

I did not ask about the 9 1/4 but regarding the others, yes.

If ever need bolt circle dimensions go to wilwood web site , they have all the backing plate dimensions for almost any rear axle
