Bad Muffler Bearing

Cool video but it's a tad late I replaced my muffler bearing last week

In 2000 when I bought the Charger, I started buying stuff from Year One. I'm on the West Coast and they shipped out of Georgia. I didn't know any better. I paid through the anus for stuff. Since then Classic Industries opened up in Southern CA.

Fyi , buy (CI) stuff through Jegs , youll get free shipping on orders > $100...

A friends wife said they changed her muffler bearing (2014 ford taurus) I told her new cars do NOT have muffler bearings, some people are sooo stupid..

Years ago we used to get all the new guys, make them run around looking for left handed screw drivers, full port fallopian tube, bucket for catching steam, I have heard of a bunch of fools errands over the years, my buddy loves cutting 2xs too short and then putting them in a pile on the job, he says hes gonna stretch them later.

You better be replacing them muffler bearings and do not forget to use a sky hook to lift the car from.

Be careful of that guy "Chris Fix"....he will only honour the warranty if you signed the verbal agreement form.

I just lube my muffler bearings every spring and never have a problem with them. Guess m just lucky. The car is 49 years old now.

Rock auto 15.99 and free shipping
I tried Rock Auto but the bearing was at one location, the clamp at another and the nuts at a 3rd location. The shipping was going to eat me up.

I'm thinking about replacing my muffler bearings with Green bearings.
But I'm worried about side loading since they are ball type and not tapered.
Do the exhaust gasses have any side load?
I'm tired of having to set my muffler spacing every time I change it.

I don't think that the green bearings would be a good choice because of the side loading cause by the exhaust gases.

Muffler bearings will last almost forever if you remember to rotate the air in your tires every 3 months. ...simple maintenance.

I haven't changed my muffler bearing. But I did replace my carburetor chain and my blinker fluid and filter.
