I've told this here before too...

I had such a puppy dog crush on her as a child...
I was with my stepfather Bob in a shopping mall, in Riverside
in like 1967-1968-ish...
He was at a S/S drag race event there,
we went shopping to get me some short pants...
I saw Barbra Eden a floor above us,
in a strapless stretchy 'bright yellow & white stripped halter top'
& tight bright yellow 'hot pants' to match,
man she was gorgeous...
Even more so in person...

I screamed like a lil' girl 'Jeanie', at the top of my lungs,
then ran up the stairs to say 'hi'
she was extremely polite took my hand & asked me something...
I don't remember a word, I was star struck, & in love
my stepdad came up & apologized for the intrusion,
she said something like "it happens all the time it's Ok"...
She then bent down & kissed me on my forehead...
I was like a puddle of melted butter...

as you can tell I remember it well

I just had to stop what I was doing and watch this. What an angel she was and still is. I have to admit that Jeannie costume put a lot of starch in my laundry when I was a young lad!

She is one youthful 92 year old. And I don't mean her looks. Close your eyes and listen to her voice and try to remember she's 92. She's up near or at the top of my list of the most beautiful women of all time.

Did you ever see the episode of The Andy Griffith Show with her? This was before Jeannie. Andy was trying to explain why her presence in town was making all the women uncomfortable. The way he put it was God was way too generous to her when he was handing out gifts.

Rickey, Fred and another guy were falling all over themselves to dance with her, Lucy and Ethel wanted to kill her, lol.

Oh yeah - Every males dream girl back then and for some time beyond. Who could not watch and listen to Barbara Eden and not wish to be her guy. And better yet, at least as I recall, she was never cast as a sex symbol. It was always this incredibly gorgeous woman with a personality as sweet as pure golden honey.

She almost reminds me of the quote I remember from a co-worker when I was working in an armored truck while attending San Diego State University "Nothing hotter than a girl who is fine and doesn't know it". Now, in the case of Barbara Eden, she knows she is attactrive, but she somehow maintains that "just the girl next door, down to earth attitude" (as if she were "nothing special"). That trait is what is even more extraordinary than her physical features.
