I think I'd rather have the clone for $60k than a real one for $400 or $500k. Am I crazy?
I want one I can drive when I want, and not worry about investment value.
You guys that drive your real ones impress me!
And watching BJ I have seen countless cars sell for three times what I would pay, or more. Haven't seen what I would consider a bargain yet!
lol my good friend bought a Daytona about 30 years ago low miles 440 auto orange. He was fretting over spending $13,000. Ended up trading his black Daytona and 4 grand for the car. He drove it to shows a few times but was then restored to perfection and is now a trailer queen. He has quite a collection of cars now, maybe 15 or so. He does drive the 67 Hemi GTX at times. I asked him if the son will take them after he passes. He said they will be sold since the kids don’t care about the cars.
Those $60k clones look fun to me. Take them to the store to buy a quart of milk and beat on them a bit whem you feel like it. Maybe even throw a set of wheels and tires on them so they corner a bit better. Take your friends for a ride in them rather than try to outimpressive them in the 20 car garage.
Was at the auction on Friday. What a circus. Was looking at the cars sold on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday found that a lot of people lost a lot of money sending their stuff through a no reserve auction. I think the only mopar stuff I saw with those were just so so but did see stuff like this truck which was pretty nice and I wish I had taken a picture of the 63 falcon sprint V8 convertible that sold for 16K
