Hi

I have a trickle charger on batter for my 69 383. I go to start it and it barely cranks over.
I jump it and car runs fine

As a test I remove the cable from battery while car is running and the car stalls. If the alternator shot?

How else can you test battery and alternator to see which is the issue

Points or electronic ignition? Sounds like your battery is toast foremost and I've said it for ever, trickle chargers just kill them.

You need a battery/charging system tester.
