Got a pair of 7x15 steel rims for the front, and 8x15s for the rears. I can't recall the size of tires, but they are all twenty eight inches in diameter, fifties in front and sixties on rear. Rebuilt the front end. A disk brake kit on front. Swapped out the rear end for an eight and three quarter, three twenty six ratio. And new pair of rear shocks. Gotta take it in for a front end alignment. Closer to next spring, I'm replacing the torsion bar anchor (rusty been repaired once), torsion bars and the lower control arm bushings. A rebuilt power steering box is in along the way. That pretty much takes care of the chassis. I'm pretty pleased on how she sits now. Rebuilding a 440 and trans, to replace the 318 drive train as the money permits.

sounds like quite a bit of progress and a solid plan for the near term.
I am curious about why you plan to align it yet this Fall, and then do more suspension stuff in the Spring; ...and then realign again? NOMB, just nosey.

good luck regardless.

Right now the camber and caster both are way off. I don't want to ruin the new tires, as I plan on driving it more this fall.

Auggie, hopefully everything will adjust up good. Just got my alignment & could only get rt.side within 1/2deg of desired. He said he thinks I have a little body say going on. Ohio salt(86000miles)!!

Looks great Auggie!
Big MOD
Great improvement!
I love that way it looks now.
Also, the TT1 and the Black Vinyl top combo looks great!
(I just finished the 67 GTXs 440 and trans)

This I know is a possibility. I have my hopes it will line up, so I don't have to lower the front end, to bring into spects. She sits now just how I like it. Thanks for your input.

And PS, thanks everybody that looked and rated this post. I almost feel I'm real bonified member now that I have a car worth showing.

Car looks nice...
