Hi everyone it’s been a while but I have not stopped working on my car. I am restoring a 67 L code 440 4 speed charger. To date I have replaced the floors and had the rail where the torsion bar goes into replaced.it currently needs patch panels on the lower rear quarters which I bought from Joe Phillip’s restoration. The car does not have the original motor so I found a date code correct block, intake, 915 heads, air cleaner, valve covers, and I am having a dual point cast iron distributor with the proper tag built for me. The heads have the small exhaust valves but I am having the heads machined to accept the 1.74 valves. I am trying very hard to make this back to factory. I also have a forged crank and damper as well as a set of copper coated ly rods that have been machined. So I am *** deep in alligators to date.

Welcome back! Excellent and rare car! Look forward to progress!

Hi everyone it’s been a while but I have not stopped working on my car.
Now those are words I can appreciate. Keep at it man and we appreciate you updating us on the progress.

My friend has three 67 L code 440 magnum Chargers. Two are automatic transmission equipped cars, the third one is a 4 speed Dana rear axle car. Supposedly only 132 of them were 4 speed cars. Your car is a pretty rare car.

He is correct I currently have two L code 4 speed cars with dana 60 one was sadly used for parts but I am collecting them and the other is coming along very nicely. I do have a third 67 charger which was a 318 car also used for parts but collecting so hopefully someone will see it through to completion. I was told by someone that there are supposedly less then half of them left I would love to see the true numbers.

Even the parts car L code 4 speed car is worth saving, they aren't making any more of them. My friend lives in Connecticut. He wants to sell one of the automatic L code Chargers. He only wants to restore one of each. He also has three or four 66/67 383 Chargers as well, and a 66 Hemi automatic car.

Absolutely that’s why I am collecting parts I have it stuffed into a connex. I live up n western coventry near the conn. Border

He lives near the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. If you know anyone who might be interested in the 67 L code automatic car, I believe it is gold with a white interior, and is a heavily optioned car with AC and power windows if I remember correctly.

Hi is there any way I could have him reach out to me or me reach out to him I do have a friend we call him hemi Joe that may be interested in that 66 hemi and they live less than an hour from each other

I can give you his number. I don't know what he would want for the Hemi Charger. It is very solid, has Midwest drag racing history, never cut anywhere. It's a roller.

He wants $7500 for the 67 L code automatic car, it's complete except for the engine.
