This thread brings back a memory. After traveling the world in and out of the military, I have noticed that there seem to be a definitive "set" of facial types. I have a dubious "gift" for remembering faces and over the years I keep seeing the same
"sort" of faces in many different populations. It's kinda like how all Downs Syndrome faces like similar. Hard to explain...

Greetings Ghostrider! I agree. For me, all Asians look alike. Put the original Star Trek cast member George Takei (USS Enterprise helmsman Hikaru Sulu) next to David Carradine and I can't tell ya which is which.

I worked with a guy who had the same issue with black people. Years ago I worked in a retail tire store when he & I were the only 2 on the retail floor up front. Both of us watched 2 black guys walk in the front door, grab 2 new tires each, turn around and scoot out the front door. My buddy told me to call the cops while he ran after the 2 felons.

My buddy landed a punch from behind on the leader's right ear. Colorful language was exchanged, a shirt was torn, all four tires were dropped in the parking lot and the license plate number was recorded as the 2 felons sped off in their car.

A report was made and the next day a detective arrived at the shop with 8 mug shots. I instantly picked out the 2 bad guys. My buddy told the detective all 8 photos looked like the same guy. No ****! Nothing was done to the robbers because of my buddy's lack of recognition of the guilty.

An ex-GF had some fairly distinctive facial features.

Now I see them in other girls, and note the "Tina factor".
