bench seat disassemble ?

ok, maybe dumb question .... i am taking the seat backs off of the bench seat, i removed the cottor pins from both ends. i can pull both seat backs about 1/2 inch away from center but thats it ... how do you remove the backs from the center bracket ??? i thought it would just pull out but seems to not be that easy ! thanks ....

nevermind, i got it ..... you have to pull out and then twist it back. the rod is hooked on the end !
