Bench seat options ???

Hi just a quick query any have any idea how well, or if ??? a set of 69 coronet bench seats will fit in a 74 sate
I found a good set on evilbay for relatively good money and was thinking it could be a more viable option as mine are pretty fried, any ideas would be a great help!

Sounds like now would be an awesome time to upgrade to bucket seats. My 74 Roadrunner was a bench seat car that someone put some buckets of unknown origin into before I got it. I junked them and bought a set of F Body seats from a 76 Aspen project car that was going nowhere, and installed them. I also switched from a column to a console shifter at the same time.

If you're not worried about originality, you can really install any seat into these cars provided you drill new holes in the floor to accommodate the mounting points for the new seats and then plug up the old holes. More importantly, make sure you weld in some reinforcement steel where the new holes are as you don't want just the sheet metal of the pan holding your seat to the floor in an accident.
