Hello all!

I need some help installing my bucket seats into my '69 Coronet. The car originally came with bench seats and I'm planning on installing a pair of Summit brand sport seats. They're actually the same ones used in this article I've been using for reference:

http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/...replacement_stop_slip_sliding_away/index.html

The issue I'm having is that the places on the floorboard the left and right tracks on each seat would bolt on to are of different heights. Could anyone tell me what that difference in height is so I can raise them accordingly to make the seat level? How high did stock bucket seats typically raise the driver? I'm a pretty short guy, about 5'6", so I need to raise them up a little higher so I can see over the steering wheel :laughing7:

Thanks, everyone.

from my experience in my 1968 Charger - the bucket seats used what looked like 1" tall black rubber donuts to level the seat out.

What are you doing with your factory bench? I need one for me 68 Satellite and am only about a 30 minute drive from Pomona (assuming CA)

Could always get yourself a couple of old Sears and Robuck catalogs to sit on.:toothy6:

My 66 bucket tracks are adjustable for height (thank god), and I have them all the way down, and have the "donuts" removed. You can get about 1.5 inches in adjustment.
I may wallow out the slots to get about 1/2" more. I'm 6'3" with a long spine. Headroom is a premium for me.

rolling_Thunder, the car's interior was gutted out when I got the car so I don't have the bench.

Pm me if you're looking for anything, I have some random stuff here and there and a few friends that are into Mopars. I go to school at Cal Poly Pomona so I'm close by.

I just looked up those 1" spacers, was that 1" the only difference in height for the seat? How different were the '68 and '69 floor panels?

I did the same swap a few years ago. I put it at the height I wanted using wood blocks first and used a level to get it right side to side.Cut some steel tubing from the hardware store for spacers with flat washers top and bottom.
