I used to play an FPS game called "Hexen".
Doom like (maybe same engine) but with spells as well as weapons.
One spell turned your opponent into a chicken.
Interestingly, in multi-player you could still inflict damage as the chicken to the tune of about 1 point per 5 peckings
if you had been in a vicious battle prior to being transformed and your opponent was wounded, you might actually be able to kill them by pecking them to death.
