Best source for option codes?

I'd like to have some good reference material for decoding fender tags. Are Galen's white books the best source, or is there more accurate info elsewhere? Not a website, but something in print. Thanks.

I'm more of a David Wise fan myself. He has other reference material also. Just a suggestion.
