The guilt finally got the better of me, figured I needed to post something if I was gonna keep asking for help. I did sign up for gold awhile back, no way I could get this thing back together without this site.
So roughly 10 years ago I was looking to build some sort of ground pounding street car (i.e. not a restoration project). The down side of that was I didn't want to cut up a car that could be restored. Finally my cousin came upon my 68 that someone had already started turning in to a drag car. So the sin had already been committed, I was just giving it a good home.
It's been tubbed, frame connectors and narrowed Dana. These pics are from when I brought it home.
Raising a family took precedence though, and not a lot happened until just the last couple years (which coincides with my son getting his drivers license ).
I don't have a ton of great pictures just yet but hopefully in the next few weeks. I decided to go ahead and paint the engine bay so I could drop the engine in. Currently trying to get the brakes hooked up before dropping engine/transmission (727) in. Plan is to put SSBC disc kit on the front but trying to just get it moving ($50 of stuff from rockauto and I had drum brakes on the front). Had the rear end built up with a detroit locker.
440 source heads, eagle rods, 10.5 static compression .030 over, girdle plate.
