I have a 1968 Roadrunner that has two tone paint with a black painted top. I am finding black paint in the door jambs and on the jambs of the doors. Is this something done by a previous owner or was this done during production?

That is extra from the black interior paint. Some cars got a lot of extra some did not. They didn’t sand this interior paint so the red didn’t stick very well. When a car is repainted you generally don’t see it anymore.

I had a white 4dr b-body car with blue interior in original paint, lots of blue in all the door & body jambs.

This black paint is on top of the red body color. It appears to have texture similar to the organosol paint used on the hood for the performance hood blackout.
