I have a non-AC 67 Coronet 440 convertible. Originally a 318 car by the VIN, previous owner transplanted a 440. I need to dig out the blower motor. It is inside the heater box, not projecting through the firewall. My FSM (reprint) only shows info for through the firewall motors. I have fire to the resistors at the box, and the motor spins freely by hand. It does not move under it's own power. Assuming its shot.
Anyone removed the motor from the heater box? Does the whole interior heater box need to be removed for access?

Yes, probably time to rebuild the entire heater box. Not a real bad job.

the motor is grounded at the rear cover which is where the mounting studs go through firewall. check your ground. i can get you a pic if needed.

Non air boxes the box MUST be removed to access the blower motor
Not hateful job if you take your time.

Remove the pass seat if you decide to procede, Your back will thank you
