I saw a reel earlier of a Bobby Allison Daytona clone and the hammer dropped for $27k. Wow, that seems cheap. It was kinda odd because it wasn't a real NASCAR and it also didn't appear to be street legal so it is definitely an odd duck. But still, running, driving, decent looking. People are asking $27k for rusty Charger shells...

I figured the seller was taking a bath. But really, why not just part it out? The wing at nose have to be worth something if they're not made of paper mache. It runs and drives so there's some money. Then the Charger shell which must be titled to be able to sell at auction.

Hell, cut off the wing and nose, rattle can it black general mayhem style and it's GOT to be worth more than $27k...

The car is very poorly done. If I remember correctly they tried to pass it off as the actual car Bobby drove,and somehow got Bobby to authenticate it,in his later years. That pissed off the entire wingcar community! They took advantage of Bobby's fading memory.

For $27k the buyer got a good deal. Cut off the wing and hang it in the shop. Hack off the nose and sell it on ebay, that tail light blockoff panel would make nice wall art. Drivetrain should bring a fair price, did I see “5-speed”? Sell off the rest of the miscellany and then the shell is still worth $25k…
