It's a novelty item, but yeah... some people will try to take advantage of others. Hell, people throw the word "Hemi" on things like radiator fans trying to get $500 from buyers who don't know they're the same part number as a 383 fan that you can pick up for a buck-fifty. I remember back in 1979 when we busted a guy claiming to be selling an original 1973 Super Duty Trans Am. We test drove it, impressive, but then we detected a flaw. His shaker had "455 - SD" so we questioned him. He finally admitted it was a clone, but he never stated that in his ad. He didn't do his research... and got busted.
Not being a Pontiac guy, shouldn't 455-SD be on the shaker? How did you know it was a fake?
