Well, had an adventure today picking up my GTX. Came prepared. Had epi-pen, Benadryl, and wasp spray. Of course of the 4 guys and my son loading up, who manages to find the lone wasps nest we missed, get stung, and spend 5 hours in the ER (as I am deathly allergic), yep, this guy right here! So blessed to have good friends who finished loading the parts, watched my son, and even unloaded at my house! Was going to get more pics, but unfortunately this is all I have for now. Car in my shop is packed with parts, van is packed, and more in the main garage. This will be a father son project and we have plenty of time since he is still in elementary school. I'm excited and so is he! PS: I think something is trying to tell me that I really need to put a Super Bee decal or medallion somewhere on it!

Should be a great project. The body actually looks solid from what I see. Maybe AMD will have all the the parts you need (if you need any) as you progress on it.

Thanks guys! Doing better, just big ole softball size welts and I can’t fullyclose my hand, but at least I didn’t go in to anaphylactic shock. Have had it happen 3 times before and it SUCKS! Meds have me a little fuzzy headed, but other than that I’m OK. My son is super excited about “his” car. Going to dig in a little tomorrow and start cataloging parts. More photos to come.

Yeah body is rock solid. Luckily my Uncle from Charlotte, who is a body man, was over a few weeks ago and went with me to look at it. He gave it the two thumbs up and I made the offer. From what we could tell it only needs a little work around the front and rear windows. Quarters had already been welded and patched, and he said they were done very well. Looking to move it to his shop probably in a year and he is going to help / teach me to do some body work.

Yes sir! There were double and triple of a lot of parts. Will definitely make things go smoother, and have extras later to sell for motor work. That’s the plan anyways.

                      Glad everything ended up ok.
You can get regular shots of venom to increase your antibodies.
I did it for about 4 years after a really near death experience.(unconscious for almost a day)
                      Have fun with the car.

Thanks Don! I did the desensitization shots in my early 20s, but that was 20 years ago. At that time they said they had never seen anyone have as fast reactions as I had. The docs today said he thinks they helped, but at the length Of time it’s been it’s better to be safe than sorry. I keep an Epi-pen when ever I go out somewhere in case I go in anaphylactic shock. I also carry Benadryl. I live in a rural area and sometimes I am 40+ miles from a hospital. I was a Boy Scout and was taught to always be prepared!

I was near death in 2 of the three times and completely black out on the third one, but not for a whole day. I can only imagine. What was your allergy to?

                          White faced hornets.
They used to be my cryptonite.
                          But not anymore.

I don’t think I have ever seen a white faced hornet. I tested positive for bees, wasps, and hornets. Yellow jacket wasps are my worst and what sent me to the ER 3 out of the 4 times. Mean little bastards.

                            Here's my analogy:
                            Yellow jacket = thumbtack
                            White faced hornet = nailgun

White Faced Hornets, I have never been around any long enough to look at their face. You say Hornets and I'm moving on.

Man, then as bad as I react to a yellow jacket, a white face hornet would probably kill me in minutes!

After a sweltering humid day of sweating, all the parts are unloaded, vacuumed, and categorized.

Fortunately for me I am not allergic. Got stung 23 times at once when I stepped on a dead tree hiking in the woods while backpacking. Luckily Lake Superior was about 40 yards away, where I headed and dove into the water. That nice cold water helped the pain. The bees I leave alone. Hornets, I will hunt those little bastards down.
