A hardcore Chevy guy told me they had to keep back pedaling the Charger because the Mustang couldn't hold the pace.

I guess this was confirmed by some of the film crew. Not only on acceleration. But handling. It was no secret that Chryslers could out corner Fords in '68. Fords midsize Fairlane and full size Galaxy would have been darn right dangerous trying those maneuvers in the film.

Bill Hickman is my hero. I love the Seven-Ups chase even though it's all Pontiacs. People notice that I buckle up every time I start a car. When I do this I picture Hickman getting ready to be serious.
