Super guy. Prices a bit on the high side,but not outrageous.
Trying to liquidate all for $500,000. Might be worth it.

Duster is 340, manual trans, fold down, sunroof.
Solid. No motor. $2100.
69 Bee was factory FM stereo car.
73 Cuda is a 340 car.

Junkyard picking is fun, but as a business, it sounds like a losing proposition to me. Looking at those heaps, I don't think there's a half million dollars worth of parts there. But even if there was and you could sell $1,500.00 worth of stuff per week, it would take 6 1/2 years just to break even. And that's without pulling a salary or paying expenses.

Looks like a big collection of Mopar recycling, the asking price of $500,000 is a little too steep for sure, even if there was a couple of J, V or H code cars in there...

I stopped counting at 15 very restartable cars in the following categories-

340 E body

340 A body

440HP B body

383HP B body

Nearly every time I looked at a VIN it was H, P, L, or U

For a while, I could have sworn every third car was a Super Bee.

There were also about half a dozen weather tight sheds behind the block garage, all packed full of "desirable" parts.

There was so much stuff it was sensory overload.

I totally forgot my secondary want list, but did manage to get the Coronet fender I was after.

Yard pics were pretty much just point and shoot.

From the angle of the Petty Blue Cuda, there was another acre off to the right that didn't get photo'd.

maybe if the property, house out building was included, in that $500k,
I still don't want to live on the east coast,
looks like a few, maybe some nice fixable cars for the right prices,
not sure what scrap prices are now, it looks like allot of the cars, are basically at that point...
how's the weather there ??, I'm not really familiar with that area,
what's it like in the winter especially ??,
is it humid as hell in the summer ??,
do they salt the roads ??
allot of ocean salt air or snow or rain ??,
aiding to the longtime storage outside, rust & rot...

I wonder how many extras/parts etc. he has, that we don't or can't see ??...
and are they included ??

Look at the cars and that will tell you what the weather is like. Hot and humid summer. Mild winter. Biggest pita is hurricanes coming through. No earthquakes.

$500k would have been a deal ten years ago, but that bloom is long gone off the rose. The days of restoring cars and flipping them for $$$$$ are over thank God. There's no money to be made there anymore because every new car that comes out of the shop is immediately competing for buyers with cars that were bought during the gold rush and that are now getting dumped back into the market. Now these parts and cars are going to be bought by shallow-pocket collectors and enthusiasts and they don't pay top dollar.

If I were him, I would start contacting the bigger OEM parts houses and make deals with them to buy up the better cars, and then scrap the rest. He's gonna die an old man before he gets the deal he wants, and every day that passes, the deals will get worse.

I think he's still doin pretty good.

While I was there, he was on and off the phone several times.

He traded a convertible something plus some parts for something else, sold some driveline parts, and had enough business to pay a hired hand to pull stuff from the sheds as he shouted what to look for and where he thought it was.

The sheds I saw into were packed tight (no walking room AT ALL) with fenders, hood, doors, bumpers, valences, etc.
All vertical.

One had consoles and door panels, and the big shop, and sheds the hired hand was rifling through had mechanical parts.

He had a relatively new crew cab dually diesel Ram and several trailers, one really nice, a newer import for the wife, and a 6 Dakota shop truck...and a swimming pool (we all know what an expense those are).
