Brian Wilson Will Not Be At The Beach

Well, looks like Brian Wilson is now surfing with his brothers Car and Dennis.

I don’t think there’s anything to say that nobody doesn’t know. He was a very talented and amazing composer, singer, and musician.

I was introduced to The Beach Boys because it was the only thing that wasn’t country music that my dad listened to. Their great sound, amazing harmonies, and their picture of the California life left a lasting impression. RIP, and thanks for the music !

The first albums I ever bought were the Beach Boys. They used to play the Canadian National Exhibition every year in Toronto, and I saw them live there.

As I mentioned on Sly's passing yesterday, the Heaven's Rock Band is really going to be something!!! Loved all their music and had just about every album they ever produced. RIP Brian...cr8crshr/Bill:praying::praying::praying::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Loved the music, he was a tormented man, serious issues at the end too
had a rough time with mental stuff, started to come back, but had a rare disorder/illness
I don't know what killed him but it was probably the newest illness...

RIP Brian, Sad day
I love the Beach Boys, I was late to the music
I came of age, 18 in July 1977, so it was old by then already,
but I was hooked since like 1970-ish
I was a surfer & a hot rod/racecar guy, living in California for most all my life
40 or so miles from the ocean, until the last 30 or so years, moved further east
into rural Calif & that lifestyle or the music & was what they sang about
was right up my alley...

Oh... no. One of the greatest musical talents of all time. Look up the definition of music genius, and his name is among the very few. The likes of which we will never see again. R.I.P. Brian Wilson, you created and inspired the best in rock and roll pop music.

Wow, I saw him perform at the beach 13 years ago. His voice slipping a bit, but still a great night.

What is Paul McCartney's favorite song of all time?

In a 2007 interview, Paul revealed that The Beach Boys' God Only Knows is his favourite song.

“[It's] one of the few songs that reduces me to tears every time I hear it," he said of the song, which appeared on the band's 1966 album Pet Sounds. "It’s really just a love song, but it’s brilliantly done. It shows the genius of Brian

I think one of my favorites too. RIP

RIP Brian.

Seen the Beach Boys countless times. Maybe 15 to 20 times. I can think of two definite times that Brian was performing. The first was in Hartford in the 70's before the coliseum collapsed. It was a time period that I believe he really was not touring with the band, but for whatever reason, he was at the concert. I was young. My sister took me. The second time was the 50th anniversary tour.

Absolutely my favorite band.......

Indeed 'tis a sad day; musical talent like Brian's only comes along every few centuries.
Have been a fan of his music since I was a wee one, and still am. Usta collect albums including rarities, imports and a bootleg or two. Love it all, but am partial to the music from Pet Sounds forward, a lot of stuff most have never heard. Listen to "Holland", Surfs Up, Smiley Smile and even the MIU album for a treat if you are unfamiliar.
God bless and Godspeed Mr Wilson.
