Ironic those family parasites were nowhere to be found when he was down on his luck. He should've kept his mouth shut, bought the SRT and drove off into the sunset by himself.
This guy went stupid with his money & it wouldn't surprise me if he's broke again in 5 or 10 years.
But that new lease on life hasn't come without unexpected challenges, including tax hurdles and family drama. As Krytzer explains, those are some of the biggest downsides to a windfall.
"It's not like it was 40 or 50 years ago," he says. "If I'd have gotten $1 million 50 years ago, I'd be rich right now. I would literally be rich."
Instead, after having used most of his newfound fortune buying two homes in Central California, Krytzer says, he is losing about $10,000 a year in insurance and property taxes alone.
With no income stream now that his disability checks were cut off, Krytzer says that to continue living off his windfall he'll have to relocate to somewhere where the costs of living are lower.
"We're getting taxed to death here. I can't afford it," he says. "I'm from California, I grew up here, but without working, it's just hard to survive."

He sounds like a bunch of people, it's usually transplants though
that all bitch & moan about cost of everything, or they can't hack it here
that all move away "thank goodness", those that can't afford to live here,
those that can't find work, get a cheap house or business loan etc.
& it's all the states fault, that's total BS...
Yes cost of living here, it does contribute...
but;
If he invested that windfall wisely & bought a little more modest housing
maybe not piss it all away, then the taxes & insurance,
"probably wouldn't be such a burden", he'd be living a great life...
IMO like most that are forced to leave or those
bitcher's & moaners we all know, that chose to leave,
he just did it all wrong, it's all on him...
There's plenty of people that have far less
& make a great life here too...
Loser **** him,
let him leave & hopefully take a few like him, with him...

Me too---I could hold it and play with it and be a "millionaire" for the rest of my life. --Who would spend away being rich anyway?
Becoming "rich" is a dream for some. Then they wake up and spend their way back to the night before.

A few years ago I saw a documentary on different people who had hit the lottery and how they made out. Every one of them, except one couple, were in worse shape then they were before hitting the lottery. One couple even got into drugs so bad they lost everything and ended up in jail.
The couple that was still doing good, had hired a financial advisor, who had control of how much they had to spend annually, and did investments for them. They had bought a ranch and were raising horses.
