Guys… when encountering a member that is abrasive and otherwise annoying, try the IGNORE feature. It is great. They can write all they want but you don’t see any of it.

I purposely target cars that run, but need some love. Non number's matching to make my own performance goals and ride.

So it's a bit bought & built. I don't have the sheet metal fabrication or the machinist skillset to go start from next to nothing beginnings.

There is a guy here that wanted to berate a guy for painting his Charger to look like a General Lee..... and one guy in this thread right here.
Look, you can get your point across without making the other guy look like crap. These guys know that but they kept pushing. I don't feel compelled to read their comments anymore.

I have a suggestion Steve, maybe get with one of the Mods, Kiwi comes to mind, and figure out how to set up a poll/voting thread if you really want an answer to your question.

I wasn't trying to start anything. I was watching a drag race video of bought vs built. It was mostly early Mopars vs late model Challengers. It made me think about the bias against bought and if it was warranted. I'm certainly not against either side. I have to build mine, at least the last 25% because I can't afford an already finished car. But, on the other hand, I did not ever work as a mechanic, so there's a lot of stuff I don't know and I have to hire help.

Like replacing a vinyl top. I read some and talked to people and they said it was a horrible experience so I'll pay to have it done. I've gone through and read everyone's responses and thanked them. I peeled the old one off, sanded it down and treated the rust. That's about all I felt comfortable doing.

This is not worth getting so upset about it. We can all have opinions and that's okay.

Come on, Runner....Steve did nothing wrong.
Like him or not, Steve just tries to stoke conversation on the forum. I see nothing coming from Steve that is inflammatory or controversial.

I'll be honest, Steve...I scroll past some of your threads because they don't pertain to my interests but I don't see you as a bad guy or a rabble rouser.
It is the contributing members that make a forum interesting. If most people just lurked, this site would be humorless and boring.
