Bumper question

!964 Dodge rear bumper --On the bumper ends that wrap around the side of the quarter panel-- there is a "strap" in the end bumper bolt on the inside of the bumper. I think it has a stud that goes into a hole in the bottom rear quarter panel. That hole is about 5/8" in diameter. What goes in that hole to isolate the strap stud from the fender metal? Anything that goes on that stud from the inside of the trunk? A pic or info would be most helpful...........Thanks..........................MO
