It says c21 is an armrest is this the same thing as the buddy seat that folds up? I have a console car and was wondering exactly what this option is thanks.

Yes C21 is a buddyseat so that would mean your car started life as a Column shift auto w/buddyseat (if an auto car)

Or a 4speed floor shift w/buddyseat (if a 4 speed).

I bought this buddy seat and I have a 71 gtx do you think it is compatible? Did they make different models of buddy seat/armrests?

Don't have an answer on the different year differences. Maybe make a buddy seat post. You will need buddy seat brackets for the floor though.

Are you seeing C21 on the tag? If yes, where on the tag does it say C21? People have confused the SPD with an option code.

It says it on the beginning of the second line. I thought there was also c10 but that was ctd

Yes there are differences.

The width and shape of the top can be different, and after 74 the whole unit is wider.

IIRC there was a C body unit as well.

Not entirely sure of application specifics, though.
