These ******* morons think that batteries are the way to go. There is far more damage to the environment during battery production than fossil fuels. I guess they think batteries are made from unicorn farts and puppy breath. The use of fossil fueled heavy equipment to extract lithium is contradictory. Extract that **** with an EV front end loader...

There have been mass fish kills related to lithium mining in Tibet, for example. The freshwater supply is being consumed by mines in South America's lithium-rich region. Even in North America, where mining regulations are strict, harsh chemicals are used to extract the valuable metal.
