Robert L. Martin, a combat pilot who said he flew “63 and a half” missions during World War II as part of the barrier-breaking Tuskegee Airmen, died July 26 at a senior living center in Olympia Fields, Ill. He was 99.
It's really sad that I didn't learn about this until now, there can't be many left? RIP Captain!

You are correct, can not be many left
God Bless those Red Tail heroes

RIP

My town was fortunate enough to be the hometown of a Tuskegee Airman.

There is a bronze statue dedicated to him at the local Community College. He passed away a few years ago but did live long enough to see his statue in his honor.
